Spirit Week, Jan. 25-29 Print

Spirit week at RBA is upon us! If you are a new family or have younger children, you might wonder what this craziness is all about! We believe God has blessed us with a great group of students, parents and faculty. We think it is important for students to love their school and be excited about being here. One of the ways we encourage this kind of thinking is for us to take a little time out to have fun together!

We do have lots of fun during spirit week here at RBA. Each day has been planned with a theme in mind:

  • Monday is simply roll out of bed and come to school in your pajamas.
  • Tuesday for grades 2-12 decorate your attire with duct tape of all colors! For students in K4-1st grade it is Dr. Seuss day.
  • Wednesday each child is to wear as much of their class color as they can.
  • Thursday is crazy hair, mix match day, and
  • Friday is RBA day.

The week is filled with activities that allow students and teachers to work together as a team. So participation in the small things like dressing for the theme of the day is important. The idea is to get those “creative juices” flowing and have fun!

The other ways to earn points include the ram race; for every .10 a student brings in for their class, the class ram moves forward in the race, the poster contest, and cheer or skit contest and ram-mania games. The fun continues with this being the only week students are allowed to buy candy and hot chocolate--or for high school students, coffee--and drink and eat it in class!

To top off the week, we have our homecoming game with the announcement of our king and queen being a part of it. We would like to invite you and your family to get involved and come join us January 29th for our homecoming game.
